What is the source of omega-3 fatty acids in MarineOmega? MarineOmega provides omega-3 fatty acids from fish and krill oil. The fish oil is primary derived from anchovies, sardines and/or mackerel. Krill oil is derived from Euphausia superba, which are small shrimp- or prawn-like crustaceans. Our fish oil supplier received the Friends of the Sea (FOS) certification for sustainability and commitment to natural sources and our krill oil supplier was the first to receive the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), a certification for sustainability.

What are the key ingredients in MarineOmega? Each daily dose of MarineOmega provides 2156 mg of fish oil, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and constitutes the main source of EPA and DHA in this product. Additionally, a daily dosage contains 100 mg of krill oil, which also provides some long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA. The distinctive colour of krill oil comes from astaxanthin – a red pigment.

What are EPA and DHA? The main long chains of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in your diet are EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid).
